Incentive engine

The first ML incentive-optimization engine I know of in Mexico — price-elasticity models wired into budgeting and forecasting.

As lead data scientist in GM Mexico’s Finance pricing & incentives group, I shipped what is, as far as I know, the first ML incentive-optimization engine in the country — price-elasticity models wired directly into the monthly budgeting and forecasting process. That “first” is a claim resting on the absence of public competitor data here and on what peers at other companies have told me, not on a survey.

Before it, incentive budgets were allocated across vehicle lines largely by precedent and negotiation. The engine models how demand responds to incentive levels per line and recommends allocations accordingly. It’s now the standard tool for distributing monthly pricing budgets across GM Mexico’s vehicle portfolio.
